Our thoughts are with our neighbors in Eastern North Carolina as they face recovery and rebuilding in the wake of Hurricane Matthew.

We believe it is part of our shared responsibility as a community to aid in this recovery process. We want to respond swiftly and do our part to help our neighborhoods in need.

The Doing Good in the Neighborhood employee giving campaign will support the needs of our fellow North Carolinians affected by Hurricane Matthew. From today until the campaign’s conclusion on November 18, ten percent of all donations to the Duke Community Giving categories (Health, Neighborhoods, Schools, Youth Empowerment and the Community Care Fund) will be directed toward the North Carolina Disaster Relief Fund to support long-term recovery efforts in the wake of Hurricane Matthew, such as cleaning, repairing and rebuilding homes. The funds raised during Doing Good in the Neighborhood will be immediately allocated at the conclusion of the campaign.
