Duke University’s Senior Education Partnership Coordinator, David Stein, hand-delivered checks from the Doing Good in the Neighborhood campaign to Durham School of the Arts. Below is a video on one of the funded projects; follow this link for a video about the innovative projects funded in the school’s Media Center.
Durham School of the Arts is one of eight local public schools that receive support through the Partnering with Our Schools category of the Doing Good in the Neighborhood campaign. Those schools each submit funding proposals — completed with input and approval from the principal, teachers and parents — that are reviewed by a team of Duke employees before Doing Good funds are awarded. To allow for flexibility, schools are permitted to submit proposals on an ongoing basis, year-round.
