Congratulations to Orin Starn, who won the first 2012-13 Doing Good in the Neighborhood campaign raffle! Starn, a faculty member in Cultural Anthropology, won a $100 gift certificate donated by Duke University Stores.

Starn has been at Duke for more than 20 years and said he’s proud to donate to Doing Good in the Neighborhood.

“I’ve watched with pleasure the very positive things that Duke has begun to do over this time to be a good neighbor in Durham, with its support for Durham Public Schools and on many other worthwhile community initiatives.”

Many thanks to Starn and our hundreds of other colleagues who donate to Doing Good in the Neighborhood! Check back to see our ongoing raffles and events, and contact Neil Hoefs to learn more about our Giving Challenge and other ways to support the campaign alongside your colleagues.
