The 2016 Community Care Fund grants have been awarded! A review team of Duke employees pored over 102 applications from outstanding non-profit organizations across the Triangle, and 46 non-profits will receive grants totaling more than $156,700.
Non-profit applicants this year were asked to submit proposals meeting community needs identified as most pressing by our Doing Good in the Neighborhood donors. The themes chosen were Community Health, Food Access & Education, Education & Child Development, Connecting Youth to Opportunity, Affordable Housing and Healthy Communities. The organizations below are addressing those needs with strong, high-impact programs.
Thank you to all the organizations that applied. And a big thank you to our Duke colleagues whose donations make this grant process possible!
