Our thoughts are with our neighbors across North Carolina as we begin to see the extent of the damage from Hurricane Florence. In 2016, we responded in the wake of Hurricane Matthew and collectively raised $51,000 through Duke Doing Good in the Neighborhood. We are again in a position to help our fellow North Carolinians.

In the coming days, we will launch a new “DGIN Emergency Relief Fund” to collect donations for the immediate needs of those affected by Hurricane Florence. Donations to this fund go to the North Carolina Disaster Relief Fund and support long-term disaster recovery efforts such as cleaning, repairing and rebuilding homes.

After the end of the 2018-19 fiscal year, the DGIN Emergency Relief Fund will continue to be a place employees can direct contributions to respond to natural disasters that affect our state. Please join us in supporting our friends and family across North Carolina to address immediate needs as well as long-term recovery.
