About: To ensure that all children enter school ready to succeed, Durham’s Partnership for Children leads community strategies for children birth to 5 and their families that promote healthy development and learning and enhance access to high-quality child care. The Partnership identifies needs and fills gaps with evidence-based programs to benefit Durham’s 23,000 young children, with a targeted approach to children most likely to benefit.
2017-18 DGIN funding will help provide resources to build positive Transition to Kindergarten (TTK) relationships through events and a new toolkit to connect childcare centers with elementary schools to expand TTK methods across the county.
