About: Girl Scouts is the preeminent leadership development organization for girls. Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place. Girl Scouts – North Carolina Coastal Pines covers 41 counties in central and eastern North Carolina, including Durham County. Almost 26,000 girls and more than 9,000 adults participate in Girl Scouts – North Carolina Coastal Pines programs.
2017-18 DGIN funding will help deliver the Community Outreach Program to 1,000 girls in Durham County in fiscal year 2018. Funds would be used specifically for financial assistance for girls who cannot afford to pay the annual membership fee. This fee is $25 per girl and allows her to access Girl Scout programs and events for an entire year.
