About: Kramden Institute was founded in 2003 as a father/son project to refurbish old computers and donate them to local students who could not otherwise afford one. Since then, Kramden has grown into an organization supported by more than 1,400 active volunteers who donated more than 17,800 hours of service last year. We have awarded more than 31,000 computers across 83 counties in North Carolina, with 3,500 computers awarded last year. Our three year old Digital Literacy and Education program has served more than 3,500 individuals.

2018-19 DGIN Funding will allow Kramden Institute to conduct two rounds of the Tech Trailblazers program. It will be used to cover staff time for lesson planning, instruction, course administration, and evaluation as well as classroom supplies, and snacks for the students.
