About: Pathways to Change is a nonprofit agency dedicated to enhancing public safety and quality of life by providing a variety of services to court-involved individuals and others desiring to address maladaptive or harmful patterns of behavior. Services are provided in an environment of respect, support and accountability. Over the last 25 years, services have included pretrial supervision and pre-sentencing investigations (sentence planning). In January of 2017, under new leadership, Pathways began offering the following services to Orange, Durham, and Chatham County residents: Anger Management classes, NC-certified Partner Abuse Intervention, Sentence Planning, and the Strong Fathers Program, a program that consists of 20 weekly sessions during which participants develop new tools for parenting and partnering in an environment of support, friendship, education and growth.
2017-18 DGIN funding will help pay for a seasoned Strong Fathers facilitator to consistently facilitate the aftercare support group during fiscal year 2017-18. The grant will also help purchase Strong Fathers T-shirts for 25 aftercare support group participants.
