About: Reinvestment Partners’ mission is to advocate for economic justice and opportunity by working with people, places and policy. The nonprofit addresses affordable housing, community reinvestment and food access.
2017-18 DGIN funding will support Reinvestment Partners’ Bull City Bucks program, which addresses the cost of healthy food to improve health outcomes for SNAP recipients who have very limited money to spend on food. The Bull City Bucks program offers incentive funds for SNAP recipients to consume more fruits and vegetables by providing a dollar for dollar match for every SNAP-eligible food purchase, up to a maximum of $40 per month. The grant will cover a portion of the RP staff time required to design, coordinate and implement the Bull City Bucks program.
