DGIN recently funded these projects:,

Data Driven Planning Coordinator- Hired a staff member to assist in the
planning, training and implementation of state testing programs. This extra-duty position allowed for a positive school climate, enhanced teacher
collaboration and well planned EOG student interventions.

Student and Parent Customer Service Staff- Hired a volunteer to provide
additional media center guidance during afterschool hours and to support
front office family communication. This extra-duty position allowed for
greater parent access to bi-lingual communications and greater student and
parent access to books and media center resources.

Professional Development Resources- Purchased professional
development resources for Responsive Classroom Initiative and “Raising
the Bar,” a parent resource night.

DGIN recently funded these programs:

Before School Reading Academy- Provides 20 weeks of engaging before
school literacy support from trained teachers to kindergarten- through
second-grade students reading behind grade level. The program goal is for
each of those students to reach reading proficiency by the end of their
third-grade year.

Stepping Stones- Stepping Stones is a school-based program for rising kindergarten students with little or no pre-school
experience. over the course of the program they meet their teachers, practice school routines and learn social and behavioral skills to get them
ready for school on day one. By the end of the program, students demonstrate improvement in their school-readiness skills and their families
are better acquainted with their school and the district.
