About: Toxic Free NC envisions North Carolina as an integral member of a just, global community where human and environmental health are valued, respected, and enjoyed by all. Their mission is to engage North Carolinians in the transition to a toxic-free society through initiatives that promote human and environmental health. Founded in 1986, in response to a severe lack of pesticide regulation in North Carolina, Toxic Free NC is the leading pesticide education and outreach organization in the state.

2019-20 DGIN Funding will support the offering of Toxic Free Kids workshops for child care centers and families on a budget in order to reduce children’s exposure to pesticides and other toxic chemicals in the environments where they live, learn, and play.
