About: Toxic Free NC envisions North Carolina as an integral member of a just, global community where human and environmental health are valued, respected, and enjoyed by all. Their mission is to engage North Carolinians in the transition to a toxic-free society through initiatives that promote human and environmental health. Founded in 1986, in response to a severe lack of pesticide regulation in North Carolina, Toxic Free NC is the leading pesticide education and outreach organization in the state.

2018-19 DGIN Funding will support the Program Director of Toxic Free NC, Dylan Williams. He is a state-licensed trainer, providing in-service training hours for Early Childhood Educators (ECEs) on how to reduce toxic chemical use and increase health and safety in childcare settings.
