About: Urban Ministries of Durham (UMD) connects with the community to end homelessness and fight poverty by offering food, shelter and a future to neighbors in need. The organization helps more than 6,000 people each year, 850 of whom are homeless men, women and children staying in Urban Ministries’ emergency shelter.
2017-18 DGIN funding will help UMD purchase food items for bagged lunches, as well as brown paper lunch bags and plastic sandwich bags.
